Job description

About us:

We are building a controlling team that actively supports the business in decision-making processes. We operate in an international environment, working closely with key business areas while ensuring high data quality, process consistency, and strong business partnership. We value independence, accountability, and an approach that combines a financial perspective with a solid business understanding of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and motivating an international team, including setting priorities, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and supporting the development of team competencies,
  • Directly supporting the Head of Controlling in day-to-day operational activities and acting as a key partner in managing the controlling area,
  • Actively participating in the budgeting and forecasting process, including preparing assumptions, analyses, and recommendations to support planning,
  • Coordinating and developing processes related to revenue provisions and variable cost provisions, with a clear understanding of their impact on financial results and gross margin,
  • Analyzing, controlling, and ensuring consistency of all P&L lines related to revenues, revenue cancellations, and variable costs from a business perspective,
  • Harmonizing revenue recognition, cancellations, and cost provisioning processes across all geographies and business lines,
  • Standardizing the approach to accounting for various types of revenues, including travel and insurance products, and developing consistent rules for recognizing items impacting gross margin,
  • Cooperating closely with international finance and business teams to implement shared controlling standards and build a unified approach across the organization,
  • Preparing analyses, insights, and recommendations to support management in business decision-making.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, including at least 1 year of people management experience, ideally in a fast-changing environment with complex settlement processes,
  • Very good knowledge of the profit and loss statement (P&L) and the ability to analyze revenues, variable costs, and margins,
  • Experience in revenue recognition, provisions, budgeting, and forecasting,
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot),
  • Ability to combine analytical thinking with a strong business understanding of processes and their impact on company results,
  • Independence, accountability, and excellent work organization skills,
  • Highly developed communication skills, including collaboration with stakeholders at various levels of the organization,
  • Readiness to work in a role combining operations, leadership, and development of the controlling area,
  • Very good command of Polish and English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the e-commerce industry,
  • Experience in standardizing and improving controlling processes within an international organization,
  • Knowledge of Power BI,
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
